The Maplewood Climate Action Plan

The Maplewood Climate Action Plan was developed by the Maplewood Climate Initiative and the Environmental Advisory Committee [link]. A strong spirit of community has been evident from the first planning meeting on June, 9, 2007, attended by over 100 people, to the final approval by the Maplewood Township Committee on September 18, 2007.   (Click here to see the presentation)

The Maplewood Action Plan is now in its implementation phase; we are encouraging home energy audits and improvements, we have granted preferential parking for energy efficient vehicles, and the upgrades in the township recycling program are leading to a higher recycling rate.
